Recovered!
Five Postcard Quilts

On February 4, 2006, five original postcard quilts by Eileen Doughty were stolen off the shelf of the Vienna Quilt Shop in Vienna, Virginia. Fortunately the store had a security camera. The shop owner recognized her as a customer and the police were able to recover all five quilts at her house.

These are a series of five postcard quilts of scenes around Washington, DC. Each quilt is about 6" by 8". They were machine pieced, machine appliqued, and machine quilted in 1999.

Each one looks like a real postcard on the back with a fabric 'stamp' cancelled with the date and "Vienna, VA." Each also is marked with "© Eileen Doughty" and the title.
