Recovered!
Charlie's Bears

Mary Kay O'Brien was looking for a baby quilt made for Charlie Huhn. It was sent through the US Postal Service from Grand Chute (Appleton), Wisconsin to Puyallup, Washington on December 27, 2005. The package never arrived. Finally, after nearly two months, the package was suddenly delivered with no explanation.

This quilt is about 38" by 48". It was made by six members of the extended Huhn family. Each member made a counted cross stitch teddy bear. The teddy bear blocks were all set on point. Light green and blue flannel were also used. There is a label, hand-appliqued to the back of the quilt on the lower right corner. It includes the names of the women who made the quilt: Marie Huhn, Clare Huhn, Jane Kessel, Ellen Kessel, Mary Kay O'Brien, Kelly O'Brien.
