On August 2 or 3, 2003 someone stole Linda Garcia’s Southwestern Quilt from the Fremont County Fair in Riverton, Wyoming. This quilt was made from a commercial pattern. About 1990, Jackie Duty sent a Red and White Signature Quilt to her sister so it could be entered in a quilt show. She sent the quilt from Riverside, California to Newcastle, Wyoming but it never arrived. The quilt was insured, but nothing could replace this part of her family’s heritage.
