Kathleen is searching for a quilt made by her Grandma Rose. The full size quilt was made of multicolored squares cut from old clothing. They were sewn in a four square pattern. Each square was about 3 or 4″ wide. It was machine pieced, and possibly tied with yarn. Kathleen believes was made around 1964 or 1965. It was last seen around 1967 or so at a rest stop on the interstate between Washington and South Dakota. The family removed it from the trunk to re-position items and it was mistakenly left on the trunk or possibly on the car parked next to them. They drove off, not realizing the quilt was left behind.
For years, Kathleen has looked for the quilt in various antique stores along the original route. She would love to be reunited with her quilt. If you can help, please contact Kathleen at Kathleenmiles@atnet.net.
