Gone Fishing

During June 2004, "Gone Fishing" was at the army headquarters in Halifax, Nova Scotia and an incoming officer thought it was garbage and he left it to be given or thrown away. Now Valerie Laferriere is hoping someone might find it.

Valerie made the quilt between December 2001 and Spring 2003, using the Bargelo pattern from the book, "More Fat Quarter Quilts." The quilt is 58" by 60". The main colors are shades blues and bright yellow. The backing has different sizes of silver fish with a bright purple background. It is machine pieced and hand quilted.

The quilt has a pre-printed fabric label with the title, dimensions, her name, and a brief story of how the quilt was made for her husband from fat quarters he had given her for Christmas. The lable is hand appliqued to the bottom, left corner.

If you've seen this quilt, please contact Valerie through the Lost Quilt Come Home Page.
