Blue Mariner's Compass

On November 23, 2005 this Blue Mariner's Compass was stolen from a vehicle that was in a car accident. Nick and Kristen Ivanick were going home for Thanksgiving when the accident occurred on Route 14 in Northern Pennsylvania, just outside of Gillett. The car was left overnight on the side of the road. When they returned, less than eight hours later, the quilt was gone, but nothing else was taken.

This hand-pieced, hand-quilted quilt is queen/king size. It has a blue background. The quilt also uses green, light blue, and yellow fabrics. It is labeled, "Hand stitched with love by Jane Ivanick for Nate Ivanick and Kristen Pomponio in 2004." The label is on one of the corners on the back of the quilt.

If you have any information about this quilt, please contact Nick at [email protected].
