Guardian Angel

LenzSusan-GuardianAngelSusan Lenz would like to recover her Guardian Angel quilt. The quilt was last seen during August 2015. It became missing during shipment on its way to a special exhibit for the IQA show in Houston. Extensive research has been done to locate this quilt, but to no avail.

This original quilt is 38″ by 30″. The main colors are grey and pink. It is made with an image transfer of the “Girl with the Upturned Shell,” a sculpture in Savannah, Georgia’s Bonaventura Cemetary. The image is surrounded by dense beading on a vintage pink and white coverlet fabric. This quilt is hand appliqued, hand quilted, and machine quilted. There is a dense section of clear seed beads and a rim of antique Czechoslovakian buttons. Susan also used vintage and new upholstery trim along with additional new buttons and beads. The quilt was made in 2015.

More information can be found on Susan’s blog. If you find this quilt, please contact Susan at mouse_house@prodigy.net.
