Great Aunt Natalie’s Quilt

TaylorAnn-GreatAuntNataliesQuiltAnn Taylor hopes to recover a quilt that was made for her great aunt’s birthday. The quilt was last seen on April 2, 2010 in Natalie Lutton’s home in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. The quilt disappeared after she passed away. Ann has spoken to her son and he doesn’t remember it at all, so she doesn’t know if it was sent to a thrift store or what.

This lap size quilt was made in 2008-2009 using soft spring colors of blues, pinks, greens, and white. There is an applique blue bird, and Overall Sam, and a Sunbonnet Sue. The sampler quilt was hand appliqued, machine pieced, and machine quilted. There is a hand-written label sewn to a back corner which says, “Happy Birthday Aunt Natalie August 29th, Ann Taylor.”
