Are any quilters out there looking for a way to donate quilts to the victims of the recent tragedy in Japan? If so, Quilter’s Newsletter Magazine is collecting quilts. They need the quilts before April 30, 2011. Go to http://networkedblogs.com/fA9SP to find out the details.
Luana Rubin of Equilter is also coordinating efforts with Missions of Love. On her March 15, 2011 blog entry, she has details on how you can donate through them.
My brother has lived in Ichihara for nearly 30 years. His wife is Japanese and her two sisters and their families live near Sendai. If you have a few hours to spare, consider making a small, personal-size quilt suitable for a child or small adult.
Thanks for mentioning our blog about Quilts for Japan. We really appreciate it!
