In 2003 a group of staff members at The Glebe Center in Ottawa, Canada came together to make this stained glass quilt. In March 1993 a Denim Jeans Quilt was stolen from a car in Fair Oaks, California. The quilt had been made for Carolann Williams by her mother, Violet Klugh. Mary Sorensen has suffered the loss of seven of her original appliqued quilts. They were in a van at the Extended Stay America Nashville Airport Hotel in Nashville, Tennessee. On July 29, 2002 there was a random break-in. It is believed the thief was looking for items to sell and was not someone specifically looking for quilts.
