On Friday, July 31, 2009 three quilts were stolen from a mini-exhibit at the Berea Arts Council Gallery in Berea, Kentucky. The Cardinal quilt was made by Dianne Stinebrickner. Found and searching for proper owner. Tabi has found two quilts in a barrel wrapped in plastic in Chemainus, British Columbus on Vancouver Island. She is hoping to return them to their rightful owner. The quilts are currently at the local police station and a picture was run in the local paper. She thinks these are Mennonite quilts. Recovered! Rascal

Linda Hill lost an original quilt on December 23, 2003. She was traveling from Prescott, Arizona to San Bernardino, California on Highways 89, 71, 60 and Interstate 10. The quilt was flat-wrapped in Christmas paper, then enclosed and taped inside a white trash bag. It was on top of the car, sandwiched tightly with bungee cords between two large, flat boxes.
