Jill Lewis was traveling with her family from Chicago to the Ozark Mountains in June of 2018 when this quilt was accidentally left at one of their stops. Tom is hoping to find a collection of quilting books lost during shipment in Fall 2014. Tracking showed they went missing somewhere between Arkansas and New Hampshire. There were many quilting reference books, a few embroidery books, and some appliqué books. Some may have the owner’s name, Barbara H., written inside in cursive, along with the date of purchase. Margaret Brewer was searching for a quilt made by her great-grandmother, Margaret Rebecca Singleton Rose Brooksher. The last known owner was Ethel Foster of Muskogee, Oklahoma who was a granddaughter. Ethel had been persuaded to sell the quilt to a man who claimed he was going to establish a quilt museum near Branson, Missouri in Eureka Springs. Margaret had never found this museum. Around the Pinetree Quilt Top

The Pinetree medallion is a 12″ square in the center of the quilt top, surrounded by the Around the World pattern.
