Zimba Bimba Jungle Queen
Here's another story of a quilt that was stolen from a quilt display. Zimba Bimba Jungle Queen by Linda J. Hahn was on display at the Peddlers Village Quilt Competition in Lahaska, Pennsylvania when it was stolen on March 5, 2003. A second quilt, "Random Thoughts", was stolen at the same time.
The wall hanging is a fabric collage using large jungle animal prints. It also has a fabric with a woman that looks like Jane from Tarzan. It is made using raw-edge, machine applique and it is machine quilted. It has chenille yarn couched around inside the black border. It was made in 2002 and it has a machine embroidered label which was hand appliqued onto the back on the left side. The label includes Linda's name, address, Manalapan, NJ and it has a picture of a man being cooked in a pot over a fire.
If you have any information about this theft, please contact Linda through the Lost Quilt Come Home Page.
