What Goes Around...
Norah McMeeking is hoping someone has seen her quilt, "What Goes Around." Sometime around 2001 or 2002 she left the quilt with a shop owner to consider for a class. There was a family crisis and Norah forgot about the quilt and who she had left it with. She knows it was at a quilt store somewhere between Santa Barbara and Walnut Creek, California. She called all the shops but no one has seen it. One store in Atascadero changed hands after the owner died. Norah thinks whoever has it doesn't know it was "on loan."
The wall hanging is about 30" by 30". It was made from a commercial pattern by Reynola Pakusich found in American Quilter. The main colors are golds, purples, blues, red and orange. It uses batiks, African fabrics and abstract textures. It was machine pieced, machine appliqued and machine quilted in 1998. This quilt has a label with Norah's name on the back.
If you can help with the recovery of this quilt, please contact Norah at [email protected].
