Recovered!
United We Stand to Fight Cancer

In 2006, Jan Morin made a quilt, United We Stand to Fight Cancer, which she donated to the Alta Bates Medical Facility in Berkeley, California. The quilt was stolen during December 2006 when the clinic was being remodeled. It was scheduled to be sent out for framing.

Thankfully, in September 2007, the stolen quilt has been found. Apparently, publicizing the fact that it was stolen prompted its return.

This patriotic red, white, and blue quilt is about 48" by 36". She added the words "To Fight Cancer" to the existing pattern. It is machine pieced, machine appliqued, and machine quilted. The quilt has a label hand appliqued to the back of the quilt.
