Two Sampler Quilts
Kathy Young made two sampler quilts as gifts for Christmas 2006. The quilts were wrapped and under the Christmas tree when the house was broken into and all the Christmas presents were stolen, along with an expensive digital camera and their computer. A police report was filed. The quilts were last seen in Kearns, Utah.
This quilt was made for Jennifer Cosman. It is a sampler quilt using Civil War reproduction prints. It is a king-size sampler, approximately 120" by 120". This quilt has a pink floral border and blue sashing with flowers. It is machine pieced and machine quilted. There are two labels on the back, one that says "Jenny and James, Merry Christmas 2006 love mom and dad" and one that says "Quilts Etc. block of the month 2004."
This quilt was intended for Rachel Young. It is a king-size sampler in reds and blues. It is approximately 120" by 120". It has red sashing, blue corner posts, blue outside border, gold inside border, and thirty blocks. This quilt is machine pieced and machine quilted. There should be two labels on the back. One says, "Rachel and Amy, Merry Christmas 2006, Love mom and dad." The second label says, "Quilts Etc. block of the month 2004." The labels are written in ink on a separate label and hand appliqued to the back.
Please contact Jennifer through the Lost Quilt Come Home Page if you find either one of these quilts.
