Twelve Hearts
When Michele Beckmann gave her Twelve Hearts quilt to a fellow quilter so it could be machine quilted, she never dreamed that would be the last time she saw it. Michele made the twin size, twelve-block quilt using the monthly kits from JoAnn Fabrics. The blocks were various heart appliques on pieced backgrounds. She used mostly reds, browns and beige. The block to the left is an extra block and it shows the colors Michele used. The last time she saw the quilt top was May 2001.
Kathi Adams of Nysa, Oregon offered to machine quilt it to say thank you for lettting her spend the night at Michele's house after a quilt retreat. Michele also gave her the batting and the backing and she said she wanted to give the quilt to her mother when it was completed. Michele has tried to locate Kathi but her certified letter was returned as not deliverable.
