Tulip Garden

On January 31, 1992 a quilt store in Skyland, North Carolina was broken into during the after hours. Jan Zimmerman is search for her Tulip Garden quilt that was stolen during that break in.

Jan used a commercial quilt pattern that was published in "A Garden of Quilts" by Mary Elizabeth Johnson, page 33. (Oxmoor House, 1984.) The 65" by 65" quilt was made in 1989. It has a muslin background with rose-mauve tulips and green stems and leaves. It is hand appliqued, machine pieced and hand quilted. The hand quilting has honeybees quilted inside the stem centers. The label says includes the quilt name, Jan's name and address, "Fletcher, North Carolina" and the year made. It was hand appliqued to the quilt.

If you can help recover this quilt, please contact Jan at [email protected].
