Treasures of the Earth

Patricia Wills made a Friendship Album quilt as a gift for the singer, Boy George. She mailed it from the US Post Office on Seventh Avenue in Phoenix, Arizona on May 30, 2000. The package was apparently lost in the mail on the way to its destination, either in the US or in England.

This album quilt, made in 2000, is 96" by 96". It is mainly blues, greens, lavenders, and grey. Messages from fans are printed directly on the fabric using a printer. It is machine pieced and machine quilted. A label with the name of the quilt, the occasion, and to whom it was presented was hand appliqued onto the quilt. More fan messages are around the perimeter of the label.

If you know anything about this quilt, please contact Patricia at [email protected].
