Texas Ohio Star Quilt
Una Maria Murphy would like to recover a quilt she made for Anthony Anderson. The Texas Ohio Star Quilt was accidentally left at a hotel or motel somewhere between New York and Texas. The quilt was last seem sometime between July 11, 1999 and July 17, 1999. They stayed at the following places:
- July 11 - Silver Lake Motel & Inn, Ocracoke, North Carolina
- July 12 - Island Motor Inn, Chincoteague, Virginia
- July 13 - Holiday Inns, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina
- July 14-15 - Disney's Hilton Head Resort, Lake Buena Vista, Virginia
- July 16 - Best Western Bayside Inn, Panama City, Florida
- July 17 - Comfort Inn, Baton Rouge, Louisiana
The lap size quilt is made of red, navy blue, and mustard Ohio Star blocks. The sashing between the blocks is navy blue and the backing is mustard. The navy blue center of each Ohio Star is quilted with the state of Texas. Una also quilted a rose pattern on parts of the quilt. This quilt is hand pieced and hand quilted. It was finished in 1994.
If you can help locate this quilt, please contact Una Maria at [email protected].
