Spanish Quilts Lost on the Way to the European Quilt Expo
Rosario Casanovas, the international representative for the Spanish Patchwork Association, reports that three quilts were lost when they were sent to the Quilt Expo in Strasbourg, France in April 2000. The quilts were shipped via DHL. The quilts were delivered to someone who was at a the convention held right before Quilt Expo, but they were not delivered to the name on the shipping label.
Paquita Segura made the quilt shown on top.

The quilts are all believed to be labeled.
The International Quilt Association (IQA), who sponsored the show, worked with the owners in tracking these quilts, but no one has been able to locate them. To make matters worse, DHL will not pay the insurance amount because they say the quilts were delivered to the right address, even if they were not delivered to the correct person.
If you have seen these quilts, please contact Rosario Casanovas at [email protected].
