Soccer Memory Quilt

Beryl Rowley is asking for help locating her Soccer Memory Quilt which she made for her son, George. The quilt was last seen in Buckhannon, West Virginia on May 6, 2009. It was on an Advantage moving truck in a U-Haul cardboard box. The quilt was lost during the move. The truck had possessions of eight different people. The quilt was not discovered missing until items had recently been removed from storage.

This quilt has twenty-five 12" by 14" squares separated by 3" black strips and bordered with a 6" black border. The squares are made from soccer jerseys and there are tournament patches on the border. The sashing and border is knit fabric. The backing is royal blue fake suede. The final size is approximately 90" by 100". This is a very heavy quilt with high loft batting. This quilt was machine pieced and machine quilted in 2007. There is a label on the back which is machine embroidered on white cotton.

Beryl is offering a reward for the return of the quilt, no questions asked. Please contact Beryl at [email protected].
