Sand, Surf, Sun

Another quilt has been lost by UPS. Sand, Surf, Sun by Scott Murkin was last seen in August 2002. It had been on display at the AQS Quilt Expo in Nashville, TN. After the show it was shipped back to Scott via UPS, but the quilt never arrived.

This quilt is a traditional design using the Double X block. The main colors are blue and yellow. All the blue fabrics are Bali batiks. Only one yellow fabric, a single yellow rose, is used for the background. This quilt was machine pieced and hand quilted in 2000. Quilting motifs include seagulls, suns and shells. It is about 85" by 95". A label is hand appliqued to the bottom right corner of the backing. The label records the title of the quilt, the date completed, and Scott's name, adress, phone number and email address.

Please contact Scott at [email protected] if you know any information about this quilt.
