Red Flower Quilt

Lee Nordin would like to find an original quilt that was made by her mother. The full, bedspread-sized, linen quilt was made in Ireland. The quilt has a large red flower in the center. Each piece was outlined with buttonhole stitch using embroidery thread. This quilt was hand pieced, hand appliqued and hand quilted. It was made around 1948-1952. It was last seen in Ireland when it was shipped to Washington, DC. It could not be found when Lee's aunt died. She may have given it away at some point.

Lee writes, "I would give anything to find it as I collected all the pieces for it and she won awards at the fair..." If you can help, please contact Lee at [email protected].
