Raffle Quilt Stolen

This raffle quilt was made by the Evergreen Quilters Guild of York County, Maine and donated to raise funds for the Wells Fire Department. The quilt was stolen sometime in early September 2000 before the raffle could be completed.

The fire department was raising funds to purchase thermal imaging equipment. This equipment allows the fireman to see people in the smoke and haze of a fire which can save the lives of people who might otherwise be unseen, especially children.

You can view another webpage with the info about this quilt. Or you can click on the image above to view a larger picture. Click your web browsers Back button to return to this page.

If you wish to make a donation to the fire department to offset the loss of the funds they would have raised during the raffle, please contact Ila who can put you in contact with someone who can properly direct your donations. If you know of the anything about the location of this quilt, please contact Ila at [email protected].
