Recovered!
Pom-Pom Coverlet

For years Mark Barnes wanted to recover a Pom-Pom Coverlet made by his wife's grandmother. It was the last of her father's and mother's possessions. The multi-color quilt was hand-pieced during the 1920's from old shirts. It was last seen in 1997 in Elk Grove, California when Mark and Karen hired a woman from Lodi, California to repair the coverlet but it was never returned to them. Last year they contacted her in Burbank, California, but they still didn't recover the repaired quilt.

After years of not knowing where their coverlet was or if they would ever see it again, they were overjoyed to recieve it in the mail on October 25, 2004. Mark writes, "I hope [this story] will help others to not lose faith in people, but draw strength from your website to recover their possession."
