Pinwheel Crochet Around Mason Jar Rubber Seals
This unique piece of needlework was given to Michele Graham by her mother when she was in fourth grade. She was taking it to Washington, where her mother lives, for safe keeping. On May 10, 2005 it was stolen from the back of her truck. She thinks it was stolen at the Umqua roadside rest outside of Reedsport, Oregon. She had stopped there and walked down to sit by the water before continuing on her trip. That was the only time she was away from her truck. She also went into the WalMart in Springfield, Oregon .
This piece was made by crocheting yarn over mason jar rubber seals. It was made in the late 1950's by Michele Graham's grandmother. It is 4x6 with one wheel missing in the bottom right hand corner. It multicolored and does not have a label.
