Pink Grapes

Joan Godfrey is searching for a quilt made by her mother, Daisy Fillenwarth Higdon. It is a double bed sized quilt made before the 1940's. It has over 1,000 hand appliqued pink grapes, each about the size of a nickel, along with green leaves and vines on a white background. All of the fabrics are solid colors. It is hand quilted closely with a 1" grid. The quilt may be signed in embroidery, "Daisy Fillenwarth" and the year.

The quilt was last seen in Weslaco, Texas when her mom and dad moved out of their trailer in Snow to Sun Park and they may have left it behind. This quilt was her mother's first quilt.

If you've seen a quilt that fits this description, please contact Joan at [email protected].
