Royal Blue and White Pieced Star Quilt

Rosa B. Wise Elvick made many spectacular quilts for her family. A book is being complied by her grandchildren which will have pictures of her quilts along with a story about each one.

One missing quilt is a full-sized, royal blue and white pieced star quilt in 1936. It has intricate hand quilting and hand piecing. Rosa used only solid color fabrics when making it. The quilt was last seen in 1988 in the attic of a home in Michigan, North Dakota. The home was sold while the owner was away. However, when asked about it, the buyers claimed this quilt was their own, made by their grandmother.

Please contact Glenna at [email protected] if you have any information about this quilt.
