On the Road Again

During December 2002 Claire Teare mailed a wall hanging from the US Postal Office in Noblesville, Indiana, but the quilt did not reach its destination.

Clarice used a commercial called "V Dubs: A Mini Quilt for Fans of the Bug" by Jukebox. The quilt is about 45" by 38". It has a blue background and a red/blue/yellow striped border with Dick and Jane insets. It is hand appliqued, hand quilted and machine pieced. The tires are made with yo-yos with button hubcaps. There is a label hand appliqued onto the back.
