Neighbors Family Tree

In March 1996 or 1997 Jeanie Neighbors gave a quilt to her father-in-law at his birthday party in Hanford, California. Sadly, it was lost on his way home. Jeanie believes it was possibly left on an airplane en route to Houston, Texas or Lake Charles, Louisiana. The quilt was in a bag which he left on the plane or on a bus or in someone's car, but she's pretty sure it was on the plane when he flew back to Louisiana.

This crib size quilt features a hand painted tree with "John & Juanita" painted on the trunk of the tree with a heart and children and spouses painted on branches and grandchildren painted in leaves and on tendrils. There is a birdhouse and a bird painted in the tree also. The backing and front sashing are garden or floral print.

If you've seen a quilt that fits this description, please contact Jeanie at [email protected].
