Mainland Flowers

On August 26, 2005 this quilt, along with other personal belongs, was stolen from a rental van. The van was parked outside a hotel in Des Plaines, Illinois.

This quilt was made by Bonnie Belshe and is owned by Ann Kennedy. It is queen size, about 92" by 106" and was made in 1993. It has brown on white, Hawaiian floral style blocks. Each block is a unique floral design. It is hand appliqued, hand pieced and hand quilted.

The owner believes the quilt has a label with the maker's name and date stitched in a circular patter in one of the back corners. This quilt received a prestigious award and might be recognized by quilt experts.

If you have any information regarding this quilt, please contact Ann Kennedy through the Lost Quilt Come Home Page.
