Log Cabin with Wide Border

Kayla Kennington has been searching for her missing quilt since 2008. She made it in 2000. It was originally just made as a bed cover, but she became attached to it when she was ill with pneumonia. Her mother would come and sit with her, and they played a guessing game to pass the time -- which square looked like an ocean, or a certain flower, etc. It was a wonderful bonding time with her mom.

The quilt is a simple log cabin with a wider border. The blocks are 7-inch square. There are 9 or 10 blocks across and 11 blocks down. It has a tan and white busy print backing with a sleeve for hanging. The edge is a 1/4-inch beige and black stripe. The quilt is tied with pearl cotton floss. The quilt includes over 100 designs of small scale cotton print fabrics.

Please contact Kayla through the Lost Quilt Come Home Page if you've seen this quilt.
