Kittens in Basket

Around 1999, P. Myrick Pond's "Kittens in Basket" quilt was stolen in a robbery in Notus, Idaho along with other items. It was made by L. Troop, M. Myrick, and P. Myrick around 1950.

This quilt is a long twin size. It has a white background, red sashing and baskets, and kittens of all colors. There is one black kitten in a red basket in the center. It is hand pieced, hand appliqued, and hand quilted. The eyes and mouths of the kittens were embroidered by the maker when she was 8-10 years old. This quilt doesn not have a label.

If you find a quilt that fits this description, please contact Patricia through the Lost Quilt Come Home Page.
