Katie's Alphabet Quilt

Carol Nichols is hoping to recover an Alphabet Quilt quilt that she made for her granddaughter who was born in Germany. Carol's daughter-in-law was stationed there with the Army at the time. The quilt was lost during a later move from Hawaii to Washington.

This 40" by 53" quilt was last seen during Winter 2003 in Olympia, Washington. It is machine pieced and machine quilted. It was made using Marsha McCloskey's book, Katie's Alphabet Quilt. The blocks are the letters of the alphabet. The main colors are yellow with pink and other pastel colors. They are 1930's reproduction prints. The backing is a green 1930's print with people in german clothes on the sides of mountains. A similar quilt made from the same pattern can be seen on Marsha McCloskey's site.

If you find this quilt, please contact Carol through the Lost Quilt Come Home Page.
