Jewel Tone Round Robin
In the Spring of 1995 Shelley A. Brooks sent her Jewel Tone Round Robin Quilt in a box with a dozen other quilts to a quilt show in Florida. When her friend arrived at the quilt show, the box containing the quilts was opened and Shelley's quilt was missing.
The quilt was made using a variety of techniques including hand applique, machine applique, machine piecing and machine quilting. It is approximately 45" square. The main block was appliqued flowers in a somewhat modern design. The background is black and other colors included plums, turquoise, green, and cobalt blue. A label was had sewn on the black including her name, the year, the name of the quilt and "Virginia Beach, VA." The label is either a crazy patch design using some of the fabrics from the design or it is made using Pigma© pens.
Shelley says, "I would love to get it back. No questions asked..." Please contact Shelley with any information, [email protected].
