Front of Jewel-Tone Quilted Jacket Jewel-Tone Quilted Jacket

This wonderful Jewel-Tone Quilted Jacket by Caroljoy Spensley was stolen from the DuPage County Fair in Illinois on July 28, 2001. The jacket was an entry in the Home Economics division. It disappeared Saturday night and the empty space was noticed Sunday morning. The theft was reported to Officer Wilson of the Wheaton Police Department, 630-260-2161.

Caroljoy made this jacket as a model for a class she teaches based on the M2 jacket pattern by Quilted Closet.

Back of Jewel-Tone Quilted Jacket The jacket with hood is a women's size large. The main colors are teal, purple, greens and fuchsia. The starburst fabrics used are from the "Serendipity" line of fabrics by Bernartex. Caroljoy also used many batiks. The pieced panels were quilted, washed to shrink, and then the jacket parts were cut from the small quilts and assempled. This jacket was made in 2001.

If you can help recover this jacket, please contact Caroljoy at [email protected].
