Jack and Jill Quilts

Beth Sullivan is searching for two quilts lost by the US Postal Service. The quilts were mailed to Centennial, Colorado on July 8, 2008. They were sent from an overseas American Air Base (APO address), but they were never delivered.

Each quilt is 42.5" by 53.5". Both are 4" Pinwheel blocks alternating with 4" Four Patch blocks. They are machine stitched, machine appliqued, and machine quilted. Both quilts also have prairie points on two opposite corners. Beth made the quilts in 2008. They do not have attached labels. The backing is unbleached muslin.

The boy's quilt (above left) is mainly reds, creams and blues, with some cowboy bandanna material, blue with white spots, and stars, and stripes on a unbleached muslin background. In the corners without prairie points there are a total of ten machine appliqued stars.

The girls's quilt (below right) is purple with multi-colored dots, and pink, green and blues with white polka dots on a unbleached muslin background. In the corners without prairie points there are a total of ten machine appliqued flowers.

If you have seen these quilts, please contact Beth through the Lost Quilt Come Home Page.
