Hotel Del Coronado

Quilt designer Betty Alofs has had a small wall hanging disappear. The quilt, which depicts the Hotel Del Coronado, was on display at Bazaar Del Mundo in Old Town, San Diego. It was last seen in July 2002. This is the same pattern that is used as the central medallion to the commercial pattern which she designed, "Celebrate San Diego." It is 24" by 24". The main colors are reds for the roof, blue sky, flowers and palm trees. It is machine pieced, machine appliqued and machine quilted. She used metallic threads and beading to embellish her quilt.

If you know anything about the disappearance of this quilt, please contact Betty at [email protected].
