Hand Tied Patchwork

Nicole R. Miller would like to recover a quilt made by her grandmother. The quilt was last seen in June or July 1999 at the Cloverhaven Trailer Park in Millington, Tennessee. The pictures shown here are of a similar quilt with most of the same fabrics.

The twin-size, patchwork quilt is hand-tied. The brown patches are about 5-inch square. It has a fabric that is antique looking with landscapes, horses and trees. It is Tell City Company upholstery fabric (Tell City, Indiana). The backing looks like a homespun plaid with red, green, possibly yellow, and cream. It was made sometime between 1945 and 1960. The quilt is very thin from wear and some of the patches on the front may be falling off.

Please contact Nicole at [email protected]. There is a $500 to $1,000 reward for its safe return.
