Grandmother's Flower Garden
We need help locating a Grandmother's Flower Garden quilt that was made in 1971 or 1972. It is a double bed size, scrappy quilt with brown centers, green leaves and a border of white muslin. It is hand pieced and hand quilted. This quilt is signed in the lower right corner, "M. Buser and L. Buser" or "L. Buser and M. Buser" and the year. The label is hand embroidered with green embroidery floss.
This quilt was last seen during the summer of 1996 in Durango, Colorado. It was in a storage unit that needed to be emptied out, so a friend offered to bring everything to the owner's sister in Kansas. When everything was arrived in Kansas, the contents had to be split between two locations, Wichita and Great Bend. Several years went by before the owner searched for this quilt and it couldn't be found.
If you have seen this quilt, please contact the owner through the Lost Quilt Come Home Page.
