Flower Basket Quilt
Mary M. Marty is looking for a quilt that was made by her mother, Kathleen Slabodnik. The flower basket quilt was last seen on August 19, 1993 when it was dropped off at Ellen's of Ely, a quilt and fabric store, so it could be exhibited in a quilt show. The quilt never made it to the show. Mary suspects the quilt may still be in the Ely, Minnesota area or it may have been taken to the Washington state area.
This quilt fits a full size bed. It is made of blue florals and solid blue on a white background. It was machine pieced and hand quilted in 1985. A label sewn onto the back says, "Hand made by Kathleen Slabodnik."
Mary says, "My mom puts her heart into her quilts, so this took quite a toll on her...I would love to see this one restored to my mom after all these years." If you can help reunite this quilt with its proper owner, please contact Mary at [email protected].
