Earth Science Research Project

Teresa Huckleberry needs help finding a quilt that was stolen from a display in July 2003 at the Hotel Solaris in Sibenik, Croatia during the GLOBE Learning Expedition..

This quilt was part of an earth science student research project which studied the changes that occur in leaves during the autumn season. It is approximately 60" by 60". The students made quilt blocks which contained original art work, ironed-on photos depicting how they did their research, the name of the school embroiderd in orange thread (Indiana School for the Deaf), and images of the leaves tapped to PFD fabric. The quilt blocks were assembed by machine along with fabrics with images of autumn leaves and green pine boughs. It is machine quilted with gold metallic thread.

If you can help in any way, please contact Teresa through the Lost Quilt Come Home Page.
