Double Diamond

Andrea Walker is hoping to recover two quilts made by her great-great-grandmother, Mary Malinda (Everett) Parish. One of the missing quilts is a Double Diamond pattern and the other is a Spider pattern. That is what they were called in an article that ran in the Detroit, Michigan newspaper sixty years ago. The only picture Andrea has of these quilts is from the newspaper clipping. She doesn't even know what color they are, but she is hoping someone will recognize the name of the maker.

It is estimated that the quilts were made around 1875. They were in the possession of a great-great-aunt, Julia (Parish) Kraft, who died in 1945 in Michigan, leaving no children.

If you have any clues to the whereabouts of these quilts, please contact Andrea through the Lost Quilt Come Home Page.
