Denim Log Cabin

Sometime during April 2006, this Denim Log Cabin quilt disappeared from Angela Fields's belongings near Pittsburg, California. It was made by Naomi Buschhaus in 2004 out of recycled denim jeans. The quilt consists of twelve squares, about 14" each, so the finished size of the quilt is about 42" by 56". The quilt is backed with two light blue bath towels (see picture below) and it has no batting. Each block was machine quilted with a spiral pattern. There was a separate thirteenth block which was made into a pillow slip and backed with two layers of terrycloth.

Naomi handstitched her initials, NB, in her signature "butterfly" style along with "CA 2004" in silver thread on the bottom right hand corner of the quilt top.

If you find this quilt, please contact Naomi through the Lost Quilt Come Home Page.
