Carolina Lily Quilt

Steve McKenney is looking for a full-size Carolina Lily quilt that was made by his wife's grandmother, Nellie Wright. After 31 years of marriage, Steve's wife, Sue McKenney passed away on September 18, 2002. Steve writes, "Perhaps even more so now, the search for this quilt goes on, and I would like to be notified if anyone spots it or is aware of its whereabouts."

The quilt was last seen during the Spring of 2000. It was either missing from a quilt show or mixed in with other quilts at a quilt shop. The quilt has red lilies with green stems and leaves on a white background. The quilt, which was made in the 1930's, was hand appliqued, machine pieced, and hand quilted.

If you've seen a quilt that matches this description, please contact Steve at [email protected].
