Bon Voyage
Irene Cleland is hoping to find a quilt that she made for Maria De La Garza. This quilt was last seen on December 26, 2006 in Palm Springs, California. It blew out of a car top luggage carrier which blew open in high winds on I-5 about three miles south of Sacramento, California in heavy rush hour traffic. The quilt was wrapped around a cross-stitch picture of Merlin on black. Both were inside a large plastic bag. The Highway Patrol and CA Trans were notified in the Sacramento area.
The quilt was made using the Bon Voyage pattern from Fons & Porter's Love of Quilting, 2006. It is 51-1/2" by 43" and it incorporates nautical prints. It is machine pieced and machine quilted with embellishments. The label is printed with "Amsterdam, Bon Voyage, Honolulu, Oahu Hawaii, December 28, 2005, Made by Irene Cleland, For Maria De La Garza, Christmas 2006, Holland America Line."
Please contact Irene at [email protected] if you find this quilt.
