Applique Dahlia

During March 1988, Phyllis Barnett was moving from Richmond, Virginia to New Orleans, Louisianna. Bekins was packing and transporting her belongings. In the process, the movers lost the box with Phyllis's Applique Dahlia quilt and her pots and pans.

This twin size quilt was made by her mother from a pattern she found on the batting backage. The hand appliqued dahlias have pink centers and green print petals. The other blocks have purple leaves. Some alternate blocks are white. This quilt was made 1976-1977. It has a label embroidered in green that says, "pwp '77."

If anyone sees this quilt, please contact Phyllis through the Lost Quilt Come Home Page.
