All Fifty States

Kate Swiencki is hoping to locate a quilt made by her mother, Judith Shand Swiencki. The quilt, called "All Fifty States" was given to Kate's grandparents, Harold and Emily Shand, to celebrate the fact that they had visited every state. After Kate's grandma died, her grandfather got involved with another woman who ended up taking the quilt. She may have sold it or given it away. Kate would like to find this quilt again and give it back to her parents who just finished visiting all fifty states.

This quilt, made in 1975, is about queen size. Each block features an embroidered state flower and is bordered with dark green trim. It was last seen around 1980 in Santa Clara, California.

If you've seen a quilt fitting this description, please contact Kate at [email protected].
