African Circles

Penelope Feeney is hoping to recover a quilt she made called "African Circles." It was last seen in 2004 in Timsbury near Bath in Somerset, England, or possibly London. It was lost during one of several house moves over the past few years. She thought it was in storage, but now that she's gone through everything she's realized it's missing. It was probably in a clear plastic storage bag along with an antique Durham quilt.

"African Circles" is a large 9 ft by 9 ft quilt. It has a dark brown background with interlocking rings of green and yellow. Each ring frames a square of African themed fabric. The intersections are done in plain black and leopard print. The fabrics used are shown to the left. The quilt is machine pieced, machine appliqued, and machine quilted.

If you have found this quilt, please contact Penelope through the Lost Quilt Come Home Page.
